Rachida Finds Magic: A Girl’s World Tale
We are proud to announce our latest publication by author Diane Stein. The book is entitled: Rachida Finds Magic: A Girl’s World Tale. It was a writing project that Diane had waited 30 years to make available in print. She chose artist Margarita Jimenez to illustrate this wonderful story about a young girl who goes in search of magic. Margarita has been a fine artist for over 30 years and is well known for her work in Latin America for her illustrations and paintings.
Michael Delaware contributed as the books layout designer and prepared the book for publication. The new book was released today in the spirit of magic of Halloween, as well as to make it available for the coming holiday season.
Rachida Finds Magic
“Magic is afoot and Rachida is determined to find it. Follow her on a journey to meet Goddesses and dolphins, houses standing on chicken feet, talking cats and wise coyotes, volcanoes and giant pearls. Rachida is looking for magic and will fly on eagle-back, ride a bubble boat under the sea, and walk around the world to search for it.
The Goddesses of several cultures help her in her quest. Russian Grandmother Baba Yaga, Hawaiian Pele, African mermaid Yemaya, and Native American Spider Woman show her their homes and teach Rachida about magic and how to find it. And the best surprise is at the end.” – Diane Stein
Rachida Finds Magic is a story that took author Diane Stein 30 years to finally bring to publication in her search for an illustrator. The message in the story is as timeless as when she first wrote it, and it will be an inspiration to young girls everywhere. A definite must read for this holiday season.
