Donald Trump’s 2015 book: Crippled America, How to Make America Great Again
On November 3rd, 2015 Donald Trump released Crippled America: How to Make America Great Again. This book has received over 1100 reviews on Amazon with an average 4.5 star rating since its release. About this book Trump says the following: “It’s time to
bring America back to its rightful owners—the American people. I’m not going to play the same game politicians have been playing for decades—all talk, no action, while special interests and lobbyists dictate our laws. I am shaking up the establishment on both sides of the political aisle because I can’t be bought. I want to bring America back, to make it great and prosperous again, and to be sure we are respected by our allies and feared by our adversaries.”
The book is written by Donald Trump with clarity on his views, a message that often seems to be altered or turned into fragmented talking points in the national media. Trump describes his crusade for the White House as: “It’s time for action. Americans are fed up with politics as usual. And they should be! In this book, I outline my vision to make America great again, including: how to fix our failing economy; how to reform health care so it is more efficient, cost-effective, and doesn’t alienate both doctors and patients; how to rebuild our military and start winning wars—instead of watching our enemies take over—while keeping our promises to our great veterans; how to ensure that our education system offers the resources that allow our students to compete internationally, so tomorrow’s jobseekers have the tools they need to succeed; and how to immediately bring jobs back to America by closing our doors to illegal immigrants, and pressuring businesses to produce their goods at home.”
Donald Trump on Illegal Immigration
The media has latched onto his statements about illegal immigrants, and characterized it as ‘all immigrants’ when in actual fact, that does not appears to be his message when you read this book. He clearly states and uses the word illegal. A book to really help one understand the issues surrounding the U.S. Border, and what goes on there, we suggest: Out on Foot: Nightly Patrols and Ghostly Tales of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent by retired U.S. Border Patrol Agent Rocky Elmore. In this book one will read first hand what a night on the U.S. Border is, and how many illegal aliens cross nightly.
In today’s confusing media, the words ‘immigrant’ and ‘alien’ are often used without understanding of their correct meaning by the press. There is a definite distinction between the term ‘immigrant’ which refers to a person who arrives in a country to acquire citizenship through legal means, and an illegal immigrant who essentially is a non-citizen (alien) who has not followed the legal channels to apply for a visa. The term immigrant is never used on any of the visa documentation, only the word alien is used. Despite this fact, the term ‘immigrant’ is still thrown around in the press and by misinformed politicians, and is quite often taken as a replacement term for the legal word ‘alien’. According to Elmore’s book, even when a person is granted a green card, there is still an ‘A’ in the registration number which stands for ‘Alien’. Even visitors on a student, work or tourist visa are still classified as ‘aliens’ per the law. “No matter what kind of visa it is, until a person becomes a U.S. Citizen, he or she will always have an Alien Registration number”, Gilmore clarifies in his book.
Trump’s position in his book has clearly been against illegal immigration, and not legal immigration. Even the U.S. Border Patrol has applauded his statements about building a wall, although they have said in interviews that it not needed along the entire border. Their reasoning has been for the safety of their law enforcement officers, and also to reduce illegal border crossings, along with the deaths of children and adults who attempt the cross the harsh terrain ill prepared for the dangers. Gilmore references numerous cases of finding bodies in the desert. Many died from exposure and dehydration, but others were killed by drug runners, wild animals, falling off cliffs and even by the hand of their own guide (referred to as ‘coyotes’).
U.S. Border Patrol Union endorses Donald Trump for President
It is interesting to note that the U.S. Border Patrol as an entire Union came out in their endorsement of Donald Trump recently, the first in their history of ever endorsing a political candidate. The union says it is endorsing Donald Trump because, quote, “we need a person in the White House who doesn’t fear the media, doesn’t embrace political correctness and doesn’t need the money.”
Reviewers on Amazon are raving about Donald Trump’s new book stating “Trump’s blueprint for America is certainly on the right track and there are specifics laid out here. America is facing some very serious problems. We need a tough leader who isn’t a puppet for the special interest groups.”, “Trump is the voice of my generation. A true genius!” and also “Well articulated, accurate and easy to read.”
Perhaps everyone should approach this election campaign by reading books on the candidates and their views, as well as any other factual information in books that can be found before heading to the polls in November. Donald Trump appears to have written a clear statement on his plans should he be elected President.
