If you are offering Free Kindle books, click here to find out how you can feature them on our site on the day they are offered.

Do readers who download free Kindle books really read them all?  This can be something that is debated.  Certainly there are great percentage that are never read.  Whenever a reader of kindle books gets a new Kindle for the first time, there is in a impulse to download free Kindle books in large quantities.  However, after a time, once one becomes a seasoned eBook reader, ones taste refines.  So one could argue that free Kindle books have value in that it raises the popularity of the book for real buyers, and also can inspire the seasoned eBook reader to follow an author if they like one of their works that they downloaded for free.Free Kindle books

Free Kindle books are downloaded by new and seasoned eBook readers alike.  So perhaps the best challenge to any author is to not only offer one book, but many.  If one takes part in the KDP select program and offers free Kindle books on promotion days, it is better to have more than one title.

Also it helps if the other titles are similar in genre, so that the reader can see there is more to read from you as an author in that subject.  This can go for fiction, and non-fiction alike when it comes to the promotions with free Kindle books. So keep that in mind, and write more eBooks!

  1. Excellent blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost
on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option?
There are so many choices out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any recommendations? Many thanks!

    • Vanessa, I would suggest you pursue using WordPress. There are two, WordPress.com (which is free) and WordPress.org which you need to pay for your own self hosting. I would suggest you research this online, or read the information on both of these site to see which is the best for you. If you want to just write about and promote your book, then WordPress.com may be all you need. If you want the monetize the blog, and run ads, then you will need to go with WordPress.org. Hope this helps.

  2. Kindle can download not just books, but also journals, newspapers, magazines and blogs. Once books are downloaded in the Kindle, the user can read as he pleases, continuously or intermittently, without having to recharge the device often. The battery lasts for about two weeks when the wireless mode is turned off, and for about five days when this feature is on. Even with continuous reading, the Kindle does not heat up as other devices tend to, thus never distracting the reader in any way.;:*..
