On March 1st, I released my latest eBook entitled: ‘Going Home… Renting to Home Ownership in 10 Easy Steps‘. I wrote the original manuscript for this book in 2007, and although I had made many revisions over the years, I had filed it away and never published it. It has not been made available for the first time.
The book focuses on the steps one would need to take to go from renting to home ownership. It addresses not only the basic practical steps of saving money, and organizing ones life, but also overcoming problems related to credit. Having a rocky credit history is something many people in today’s market are struggling with. This book offers insight into how credit reports are structured, and what kinds of items are reported. It explains how to obtain your credit report for free, and also dispute negative items to improve your score.
The book also covers other steps on the path from renting to home ownership. One can gain insight into how the lending process works, including underwriting. It also goes into what one can expect to need in applying for a loan, as well as how certain loans can dictate the type of house you can buy.
One will also learn the best ways to approach looking for a new home, and how to find the home that is more along the lines of what you want. You will learn how to choose a Realtor, and what other professionals you will need in the journey. The book explains how offers are made, and negotiated in addition to what happens at the closing table. ‘Going Home… Renting to Home Ownership in 10 Easy Steps‘ also includes a glossary and useful web-links section inside the book to help you gain a full understanding of the process.
